Some impressions from Loutro….

 

 

Agia Ekaterini

Agia Ekaterini is a church in Anopolis at the southern edge directly about 700 meters above from Loutro and because of that you have a fantsastic view … today in the afternoon we have been there and it was just great!!!

 

From Loutro to Phoenix

Today we had a great day. Kosta had brought us by our boat from Chora Sfakion to Loutro….. first we made a small walk through the village …. it is rather lonesome there… a few men work on the seasonal preparations….. Signs of the winter are still to be seen…. Stones of the big waves till carried the houses …. and also so lonely…. with the closed taverns… without many things of the souvenir stores… without sunshades on the beach… Loutro is also very winning in winter!!!!!

 

Then from Loutro we walked the footpath along the coast…. passing a wonderful church….until we saw thethen the bay of Phoenix, Lykos and Marmara…. a wonderful view ! As we arrieved In phoenix we rested a little while in the shadow and then we went again back to Loutro…, however, not the same way, but a little bit more in the inland the mountain up…. up to the old fortress…. and also from there on top a dreamlike view at Loutro and in the east to Chora Sfakion….. again in Loutro we waited a few minutes until Kosta picked us up again by the boat and brought us home…

A nice tour in the most marvellous spring weather…….

 

 

It should become better….

According to weather report it should become springlike at least for the coming week-end….

Yesterday late in the evening there was to still sleet below here…. this morning it looks rather friendly … it is still cold, but the sun is coming through and we have a great view at the houses lighted up by the sun…also uo to Loutro…

If the weather remains in such a way, actually, a good day around to make an excursion to Imbros or Askifou in the snow…. we will see !!!!!
